On the mat at Azle High, the Lady Rough Riders fought a series of schools, including many of their district mates, for dominance over the district tournament, and in the words of Coach Jorge Oropeza, the girls "fought their tails off". Out of all of the girls that competed, there were several high district placers from Saginaw, including Savannah Hahn with a 3rd place finish, Amaya Briscoe coming in at 4th, and Daniella Inana winning 1st place and the title of district champion!
All three will be moving on to the Regional Tournament on Friday, Feb. 7th, at Lubbock Cooper High School.
