The Tuesday before the long weekend was a nail-biting showdown between two district rivals. Despite the loss, the Rough Riders came out on their home court with a ton of energy that helped them keep the fight going to the very end. It was a foul against the boys in red towards the end of the game that allowed their opponents to pull ahead of the three point gap, ending the night with a final score of 56-63. Leaders of the evening were Trystan Overman with 15 points, Amar'e Castleberry with 14 points, Willie McCrary with 10 points, and Brian Armes with 6 points.
The Rough Riders will return, after a short break, on Jan. 17th , traveling to Granbury to face of against the titular high school.
