The Rough Riders earned their first playoff win in school history on Friday, defeating Azle by a narrow margin of 41-39. Trailing most of the game, Saginaw, in an upset that brought the crowd to its feet, scored twice in the final three minutes of regulation play time. This victory not only marks the first playoff game ever won by the Rough Riders, but breaks another school record by making this the first program in school history to sport an undefeated 11-0 season thus far. Roman Morales lead in offense for the evening, passing 478 yards with five TDs and rushing an additional 150 yards with another score to his name. Aidan Collier scored two TDs with 169 receiving yards, Boaz Kaloso scored one TD with 138 receiving yards, and Isaiah Verdun scored one TD wit 103 receiving yards. On the other side of the ball, Malik McCoy made nine tackles and two sacks with Isaac Bukasa follow close behind with eight tackles, and Chris Brewer making five PBUs and one interception. Way to go, Rough Riders.
