The Lady Rough Riders fought a close bout against the Fossil Ridge Panthers on Tuesday, sadly coming up short in a 1-3 loss by the end of the evening. However, the ladies were on the heels of their opponent from the opening serve, only falling behind by More than two point in the first set. The second belonged to them, but the third and fourth sets were excitingly close, ending at 25-27 and 24-26 respectively. Viktoria Vasileva led the offensive side with 16 kills, Mia Hernandez ran the floor with 35 assists and 19 digs, and Daniella Banda contributed 24 digs. All in all, though it did not end the way the Lady Rough Riders wanted, the match proved to be an invaluable experience that showed them just how far they have come from the first game of the season.
Next week on Tuesday, Oct. 15th, return to their home court to face off against Aledo.
