The Saginaw Rough Riders secured a thrilling victory in the Bi-District playoff against O.D. Wyatt on Tuesday, March 26th at Clark Stadium. Mathy Tampwo scored the first goal with a powerful curling shot into the far corner from the right side of the box, putting the Riders ahead 1-0. However, Wyatt managed to equalize before halftime when Saginaw struggled to clear their lines. Just before the break, Saul Ruiz was fouled in the box, resulting in a penalty kick that Michael Burch confidently converted, giving Saginaw a 2-1 lead at halftime. Despite Wyatt leveling the game again with a penalty kick in the second half, Saginaw continued to create opportunities. The match went into overtime, with a tense first half yielding no goals. In the decisive moment of the second overtime, Alan Sanchez delivered a perfect through ball to Mathy Tampwo, who skillfully dribbled past the goalkeeper and slotted the ball into the empty net, sealing a 3-2 victory for Saginaw.
