In their final game at the EMS ISD Tournament on Saturday, Mar. 2, Saginaw baseball faced off against Liberty Christian. Gavin Rico took the mound for Saginaw, delivering a solid performance with 4.2 innings pitched and conceding only two earned runs. Shelton Rhoades stepped in to close the game.

Vincent Gonzales and Gavin Leadbetter led the team with two hits each. Aiden Sanchez, Brady Brooks and Caden Welker all contributed one hit. Overall, the team wrapped up the tournament with a 3-3 record with wins over Paschal, Amarillo Caprock and Tascosa.

The Rough Riders compete at the Johnson County Tournament in Cleburne from Mar. 7-9 before opening district play against Northwest on Mar. 12.
