The Saginaw Rough Riders came out with determination and intensity in their Bi-District Championship game against the Southwest Raiders on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at North Crowley High School. Saginaw established an early lead of 12-2 by the end of the first quarter and maintained their momentum to go into halftime with a solid 22-14 advantage. Despite a closely contested second half, the Rough Riders sealed victory with crucial free throws down the stretch. With this win, the Rough Riders proudly claim the title of Bi-District Champions for the second time in school history, elevating their overall season record to 25-8. Jaiden Gastile led the charge with 23 points, Cameron Thomas had 13 points and Julius Brundage and David Johnson contributed five points each. The team now looks ahead to the Area Championships, where they face Mansfield Summit on Friday, Feb. 23, at 7:30 pm at Thomas Coliseum.
