The Rough Riders wrestling team secured a seventh place finish out of 13 teams at the District 4-5A Tournament held on Feb. 1-2. With a total of seven placers, two Regional qualifiers and two Regional alternates, the team demonstrated a strong performance. Rylan Luttmer (113 lb), David Morales (126lb) and Dylan Griffith (132 lb) all finished in sixth place. Jayceon Gray (144 lb) earned fourth place as a regional alternate, while Kevin Roberts (175lb) secured fifth place as a regional alternate. Andrew Diaz (190lb) claimed third place as a regional qualifier and Fredrick Wines (285 lb) finished fourth as a regional qualifier.

The Lady Rough Riders finished eighth out of 13 teams, with four placers, one district finalist, and three regional qualifiers. Kathryn Lara (100 lb) earned fifth place as a regional alternate, Galilea Casas (132 lb) secured second place as a regional qualifier, Amaya Briscoe (165 lb) finished fourth as a regional qualifier and Daniella Inana (235 lb) placed third as a regional qualifier.

The Regional Tournament is scheduled to take place in Canyon, TX on Feb. 9-10.
