Saginaw Gymnastics hosted their Senior Night Meet against Trinity on Wednesday, Jan. 17. The boys team secured a well-deserved first place finish against the Trojans with a final score of 154-124. Senior Grant Morgan emerged as a standout, claiming victory in three events, Rings, Vault and High Bar. Junior Evan Croft also contributed to the success by taking first on Parallel Bars.

The Saginaw girls team earned second place overall. Maya Castillo placed first on Vault, third on Floor and fourth in the All-Around while Chelsey Briones earned seventh on Floor. Additional highlights included Chelsie Jefferson's second place finish on Bars and the All-Around. Jefferson and Eva Goode tied for second place on Balance Beam. Goode was fourth on Vault.

The girls team will compete at the Southside Showdown at Rockwall Heath High School on Jan. 26. Both teams are back in action at home against Garland ISD on Feb. 1.
