The Saginaw Rough Riders secured a second place finish at their first meet on their home turf on Jan. 11. In various weight classes, individual medalists showcased their skills. Jacob Remo claimed the second place spot in the 114 weight class, while Benson Chau earned third in the 148 weight class. Michael Rodriguez placed second in the 165 division and Isaiah Quinones took third in the 181 weight class. Malik McCoy earned second in the 220 division, while Isaac Mendoza secured fourth in the 242 weight class. Winner Nasibu claimed fifth in the SHW class and Xzaviah Milton earned first place in the same division. The Rough Riders' collective effort showcased determination and skill in their first meet of the year.

They compete against Glen Rose and Brock teams at Glen Rose High School on Jan. 25.
