In their fourth district game, the Rough Riders displayed unwavering determination against the Granbury Pirates on Tuesday, Jan. 9. The game remained intense, with Saginaw trailing 20-21 at halftime but making a comeback to lead 31-30 entering the fourth quarter. With approximately two minutes left, the Rough Riders embarked on an impressive 8-0 run. Despite the Pirates' attempt to make a comeback with a couple of three-pointers, Saginaw managed to secure a crucial stop, ultimately sealing the victory. This triumph solidifies Saginaw's record of 4-0 in district play and an overall record of 19-5. Leading the charge were Julius Brundage with 18 points, Jaiden Gastile with 13 points, David Johnson with eight points and Cameron Thomas with four points.

The Rough Riders face Wichita Falls Rider on Jan. 12 and Northwest on Jan. 16 in back-to-back road games before returning to the Rough Rider gym on Tuesday, Jan. 23 to kick off the second half of district play.
