In the kickoff match of the Rough Rider Invitational on Thursday, Jan. 4 Saginaw soccer displayed a commendable performance despite falling short on the scoreboard with a 1-0 loss. The team generated numerous scoring opportunities, showcasing good build-up play and possession, but were unable to convert them into goals. Looking ahead in the tournament, the team faces Argyle on Jan. 5 at 7:20 p.m. and Denton on Jan. 6 at 1:00 p.m., both matches taking place at Rough Rider Stadium.
