Saginaw tennis hosted the Granbury Pirates in their district home opener on Tuesday, Aug. 29. "Our varsity team exhibited remarkable improvement and delivered a strong overall performance," said Coach Phillips. The Rough Riders started off on the right foot with solid showings in the double matches but encountered challenges in the single matches. Saginaw managed to secure several tiebreak victories in some of the closely contested tiebreaks. The Rough Riders look to continue to improve next Tuesday, Sept. 5 as they travel to Azle. Match time is set for 4:30 p.m. at Azle High School.
