Randolph named Head Volleyball Coach

Eagle Mountain-Saginaw Independent School is proud to announce, Peggy Randolph as the new head volleyball coach at Saginaw High School.
A former collegiate volleyball player turned coach; Coach Randolph brings over 20 years of experience to her new role.
“We are excited to have Peggy step into this role,” Athletic Director Brent Barker said. “She has a wealth of volleyball knowledge, and I am looking forward to watching her lead the successful Saginaw volleyball program for many years to come.”
Coach Randolph was a defensive specialist on her high school volleyball team in Fort Wayne IN, winning the mental toughness award her senior year. She was a four-year volleyball player at Bethel College in Mishawaka, IN.
She holds her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Bethel College, and a master’s degree in Physical Education and Sport from Central Michigan University.
Coach Randolph began her coaching career as a graduate assistant at Central Michigan University in 2003, before transitioning to the University of Notre Dame as a volunteer assistant in 2005. That year, they were Big East Champions, and advanced to the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA Tournament.
She accepted her first head coaching job at Jimtown High School in 2006 in Elkhart, IN. She coached there for five years, winning sectional runner-up twice. She had stops in Florida at Grandview Prep, and Coral Springs Charter School before coming to Texas.
Coach Randolph came to Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD in 2015 as a substitute teacher, then as a teacher at Prairie Vista Middle School the next year. She began coaching at Texas Image Volleyball Club in August 2015 and were the Silver Runner-Up Champions in the 2019 Girls Junior National Championship.
She came to Saginaw as the varsity assistant volleyball coach in 2021. In two years, the Lady Rough Riders have won 58 games including a school record 30 games in 2021. Saginaw has also won an undefeated district championship, two bi-district championships, and are two-time area finalists.
“We are excited to have Peggy as the leader of Rough Rider Volleyball,” Campus Coordinator Mike Peters said. “She does an incredible job teaching the game and getting the most out of every player. Her enthusiasm combined with her relationship with our athletes are key components in keeping our program successful.”
When she’s not coaching volleyball, Coach Randolph enjoys spending time with friends or being at home with her dogs Ivy Mae, and Milo.
“I am so excited to continue what Coach {Emilee} Crawford has started with Saginaw Volleyball,” Coach Randolph said. “She has left big shoes to fill. I am incredibly thankful to the administration for this opportunity. Saginaw High School is a great place to be!”
Eagle Mountain-Saginaw Independent School District and Saginaw High School are pleased to welcome Coach Randolph to her new role and look forward to many more successful volleyball seasons ahead!
