The Rough Riders secured a 7-5 victory over Chisholm Trail on Saturday, April 15. The game was tied at three with Saginaw batting in the bottom of the sixth when Kasey Lowe singled on a 1-2 count, scoring four runs. Cooper Faulkner earned the win for Saginaw. He surrendered two runs on three hits over two innings, walking zero. Logan Angles threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen to earn a save.
Shaun Williams started the game for Saginaw, pitching four innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out four. Angles went 2 for 3 at the plate to lead the Rough Riders in hits.
Saginaw will play Granbury this week. They travel to Granbury on Wednesday, April 19, and are back at home for their Senior Night game on Friday, April 21 at 7 p.m.
