The Saginaw Rough Rider track teams competed at the Chisholm Trail Relays on Friday, March 24. Both the boys and girls varsity teams placed fourth overall. The boys teams concluded with 38 personal records. The 4x100m relay consisting of Terique Shaver, Aidan Collier, Jimmy Howard and Paul Baras placed first. Other first place finishers included Jacob Brewer in the 300m Hurdles and Chris Brewer in the 200m. The 4x400m relay with Barasa, Collier, Tyler Self and DJ Thomas took second place. Shaver also earned second place in the 100m. The 4x200m relay of Shaver, Thomas, Collier and Howard claimed third place. Other varsity third place finishers included Barasa in the 200m and Jacob Brewer in the Triple Jump.

The Lady Rough Riders were led by Skyler Barber and London Provo who combined for 42 of the teams 101 points. Overall the team set 16 personal records and the 4x400m relay team made up of Adriana Vargas-Concepcion, Anabelle Aguilar, Lacey Clark and Trinity Coleman ran the fastest time since 2019 at 4:16.90.

The girls 4x100m and 4x400m relays look to lower their times at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on March 31-April 1. Saginaw track competes in the 5A District Championships at Aledo High School on April 12-13.
