Saginaw hosted the Brewer Bears in district play on Tuesday, Feb. 28. The Rough Riders started the first half a little shaky. Parker Yocom dribbled the ball down the end line and cut a pass back to the penalty spot where Ali Khan finished for the 1-0 lead. Brewer was able to tie it up when a long-range free-kick hit high bounced in traffic and was untouched as it found its own way into the goal to tie the game at the end of regulation. The Rough Riders went on to win the shootout 4-2. PKs were scored by Michael Burch, Eduardo Yanez, Yocom, and Alan Sanchez. Goalkeeper Elian Gomez was fantastic in the shootout, saving two PKs to secure the victory.
