The Lady Rough Riders competed in their district powerlifting meet at Granbury on Saturday, Feb. 18. Saginaw finished in third place overall. They had eleven athletes place in the top five in their respective weight classes. Vivanca Averlarolmos was third in the 97 weight class. In the 114 weight class, Mila Luangraj was third and Aliana Clintron was fourth. Iyana Harris took third place in the 123 weight class. Francis Arroyo was the first-place champion in the 165 weight class with Nghi Tran placing fifth. In the 198 weight class, Ashley Bailey was second and Allison Ortiz was fifth. Bianca Cardenas placed fourth in the 220 weight class with Daniella Inana right behind her in fifth place. Bisola Olusomiro took second in the 259 weight class. The girls team advances fourteen athletes to the regional meet on March 2 at Sherman High School. Good luck Lady Rough Riders!
