Before the freeze, the Rough Riders travelled across the tracks to lift weights against district-mate, Boswell. Just from their first meet, the boys and girls in red showed massive improvements in technique, confidence on the platform, and resilience under pressure. All of the participants performed excellently, and many did well enough to bring home medals, Marquis Jemison, Hannah Brown, Johnathan Brajas, and Jordan Johnson being among those who claimed gold in their respective weight classes. Through their combined efforts, both the gentlemen and ladies managed to secure a 4th place finish when all was said and done.
The Rough Riders are at home on Wednesday, February 4th, hosting the Pioneers for a second matchup as well as inviting the Brewer Bears out to join them.
