The Rough Riders went into the long weekend with their second straight victory. Hosting the Fossil Ridge Panthers on Friday, the boys in red shot out of the gate with purpose, making a massive gain of 29 points to their opponent's seven in just the first quarter. By the time halftime rolled around, the Panthers had managed to close the gap to a narro eight points, but Saginaw took their already stellar teamwork to another level in the latter half and never looked back. With the sound of the final buzzer, the Rough Riders managed to maintain their dominance of the court and pull out a win of 74-55. Eugene Roseberry was the lead scorer of the evening, sinking a total of 30 points. Brian Armes had his best shooting performance of the year and finished with 19 points,a and Willie McCrary was not far behind with 13 of his own.
The Rough Riders have a BYE this Tuesday, but look forward to their return to their home court on Friday, January 23rd, to duel the Granbury Pirates.
