Saginaw hosted the Hornets on the Friday just before break last month and put up a fierce fight on the court. Starting off strong, the Rough Riders maintained a tight hold on the lead all throughout the first half of the game. The opponents, however, came back in force at the start of the third quarter and managed to pull ahead by a little over nine points. The comeback did not deter the boys in red, though, as they were close on the visitor's heels, brining the point gap down to just three points. Sadly, the ball did not want to fall in favor of Saginaw, and the Hornets managed to steal the win 52-67.
The team had an abundance of great plays from start to finish. Logan Henry led the Rough Riders with 16 points, followed closely by Eugene Roseberry with 13.
The Rough Riders are on the road Tuesday, January 6th, to take on the Brewer Bears in the first matchup of 2026.
