The girls in red put on quite a fight against Timberview on Tuesday. From the first whistle, the Lady Rough Riders were on a roll and kept to the offensive side of the ball for a majority of the four quarters. Combining fancy footwork and teamwork was the path forward through the Lady Wolves' defensive line, and Saginaw performed excellently. Shaniah Franklin lead the charge, demonstrating outstanding leadership and coordination with her team that allowed her to tally up 28 points to the total score, being followed closely by Anissa Erickson who provided 12 points of her own. Through all of their efforts, the Lady Rough Riders pulled ahead with a commanding lead and nearly doubled the score of the visiting team by the end of the game, capping off the night with a 60-36 win.
Returning Tuesday, December 16th, Saginaw travels to Granbury High School, seeking to keep the momentum going.
