In a Friday night nail-biter against the Granbury Lady Pirates, Saginaw gave it their all in the pursuit of the win. From the first serve to the final buzzer, both team were locked nearly neck-and-neck for the top spot. The girls in red fought hard, biting at the heels of their opponents in the first two rounds before coming out the other side of the third with a narrow 25-22 victory. Sadly, however, the fourth set proved to be the last of the evening as the visiting team barely managed to squeeze out a 22-25 win, finish the night with a 1-3 loss for the Lady Rough Riders. Though the defeat was not the outcome which the ladies wanted, it did not stop them from several great displays of talent. Miriam Castillo led the team with 19 kills, followed by Khiara with 16, and Viktoria Vasileva and Brooke Fuller both contributed five kills to the final total!
Tuesday, October 7th, Saginaw is in Keller taking on the Fossil Ridge Lady Panthers.
