The Lady Rough Riders showed out strong at Chisholm Trail on Friday, many of the roster scoring personal bests in the events in which they participated. Jazmine Duncan took a break from hurdles and only ran sprints, setting a PR in both the 400m and 100m with a 1:02.88 and a 13.83 respectively. Teammate and fellow sprinter Ashlyn McNeil was just ahead of her in the 400m, scoring her own PR of 1:02.27, Laila Freeman and Amaiyah Oyedeji came in 4th in their individual events, Kamryn Weeks ran a seasonal best in the 1600m with a time of 6:13.36, and the 4x100m relay placed 5th with a season's best time of 49.61. Alongside them, in field, throwers Viktoria Vasileva and Greta Groves set PRs in discus. Head Coach Desiree James is looking forward to the team's performance at District, saying "Our Girls are ready for the district championships this coming week. We're excited about competing in our home stadium."
The Lady Rough Riders take on their district-mates on Wednesday and Thursday, April 2nd and 3rd, at Rough Rider Stadium.
