Malik McCoy and Michael Rodriguez competed in the THSPA State meet over the break and brought the heat. With both of them competing at the state level for the first time in their high school career, there was a lot of pressure that the boys handled splendidly, and although they did not place, their record over the past season is more than enough proof that they deserved to stand in Abilene. Malik and Michael both won first place in 2 of the 4 regular season meets while simultaneously breaking school records in both the three competition lifts and their respective weight classes. Way to go out on a high note, gentlemen!
