Spring Break opened up schedules for the boys of the Rough Riders baseball team, giving them the extra time on the diamond that they have been itching for. Tuesday's game was a difficult one, but not due to any errors in play. The boys, and their opponents, played so well that they ground each other to a halt for a majority of the game. Carson Kersey dominated the mound, recording 20 outs during his stint as pitcher, with only one runner slipping through late into the third inning. It was this one score that gave Granbury the edge, an advantage that they narrowly held until the end, but it was not an easy victory as the Rough Riders kept the Pirates on their toes and scrambling to maintain their minor lead until the final buzzer rang.
The boys are on the road Tuesday, March 25, to face off against the Azle Hornets.
