The Rough Riders came out determined in their second district game against a formidable Brewer team on Tuesday, Jan. 2. The Rough Riders held Brewer to eight points in the first half, establishing a commanding 17-8 lead. Saginaw maintained their edge as the game progressed, heading into the fourth quarter with a 28-20 advantage.

Despite a resilient comeback attempt by the Brewer Bears, who narrowed the lead to just two points, the Rough Riders remained composed. Strategic defensive plays and successful free throws down the stretch secured Saginaw's victory. This win moves Saginaw's overall season record to 17-5 with a 2-0 record in district play.

Jason Roseberry led the Rough Riders with 13 points, while Julius Brundage and Jaiden Gastile added seven points. Cameron Thomas and David Johnson chipped in four points each. Looking ahead, the team is set to face Azle on January 5th at 7:30 pm.
