The Lady Rough Riders jumped back in the saddle on Tuesday, taking to their home court for the first time of the season against the Irving Lady Tigers. The girls in red dominated the first set handily with a 25-9 victory that set the tone for the rest of the evening. However, it was not an easy battle the whole way through. AS each set progressed, the Lady Tigers managed to narrow the point gap further; however, through consistent teamwork and effort, Saginaw maintained a solid lead ahead of Irving and managed to put them away 25-15 in set 2 and 25-17 in set 3. It was a nice, clean sweep to start the new semester off right!
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, August 20th through the 22nd, the Lady Rough Riders take on a myriad of teams in the annual Rough Rider Classic tournament.
