The Rough Riders fell short in a heartbreaker at Hornet Stadium on Friday, Oct. 14. Saginaw led 13-7 at the half on a 16-yard touchdown run by Jacob Brewer and a 60-yard pick-six from Jonathan Lawson. After allowing two Azle scores in the third quarter. The Rough Riders tied the score midway through the final quarter on a 22-yard touchdown throw from Roman Morales to Terique Shaver and a Morales run for the two-point conversion. Azle took the lead late in the game and the Rough Riders failed to convert on a fourth down attempt deep in Azle territory.

Saginaw has improved week by week and looks to continue this trend in their upcoming game vs. The Colony on Friday, Oct. 28 at Rough Rider Stadium.
