The Rough Riders fell short in their 2022 home opener on Friday, Sept. 2. The team showed big improvements over their week one performance, but penalties and a few breakdowns were too much to overcome. Offensively the Rough Riders were led by QB, Gio Petrella who was 12/16 passing for 149 yards and two TDs. Wide Receiver Zach Garrett also had a great night catching 9 passes for 130 yards and both of the team's TDs. Parker Yocom was a huge bright spot going 3 for 3 on field goals and making both of his PATs.

Saginaw will open up district play this Friday, Sept. 9 at home against Burleson Centennial. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m. at Rough Rider Stadium.
