Senior Night was in full swing at Lady Rough Rider central on Tuesday, the girls in red celebrating two veteran members of the team with one last home game for their high school career. Saginaw had an extremely successful evening as they faced off against district-mate Chisholm Trail. Anslee Roberts put the Lady Rough Riders on the board in the bottom of the third inning with a single, two runs were batted in, home was stolen for another run, and a wild pitch brought in another. The fifth inning was just as productive, as Roberts brought a teammate home with a walk, and Rhyan Angles, Hannah Brown, and Abby Jackson all singled to drive in a run, or two in the case of the latter. In the circle, Angles hurled six innings giving up four hits and three runs, but striking out seven and leading a strong defense that earned the Lady Rough Riders a strong 13-3 victory, a great gift with which to send off their graduating teammates.
The last in-season game is Friday, April 17th, against the Fossil Ridge Panthers on their turf.
