Hosting the Aledo Bearcats last week in the round one of their matchup, the Rough Riders faced off against at notoriously fierce opponent that tested their teamwork. From the jump, the visiting team had the upper hand, hitting a home run that set the pace for the rest of the evening. On the mount, Coby Richerson fought ceaselessly for four and two-thirds innings, and Juanuel Gonzalez went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead the boys in red on offense. Sadly, however, their opponents managed to stay ahead of them and take home the win, ending the night in a heartbreaking 0-10 loss for Saginaw. But the team showed great resilience gains this formidable foe and refused to back down from the challenge laid out in front of them.
The Rough Riders are across the tracks Tuesday, April 14th, to face off against their friendly rival, the Chisholm Trail Rangers.
