After a heartbreaking loss to the Brewer Bears on the their home turf last Tuesday, the Rough Riders hosted them for round two back on their diamond and managed to repay the defeat with a nail-biter of a victory on Thursday. It was an intense game from start to finish as both teams fought fiercely for control of the field. Saginaw and Brewer traded runs off an on, starting from the third inning up into the seventh, were the score sat at a tie of four runs each. Dylan Little stepped up to the plate at the bottom of the seventh, crushed a double for an RBI, and helped bring home the last run that put them over the top for a 5-4 walk-off victory and a massive turn around from round one of their duel with the Bears.
The boys in red are back at home Tuesday, April 7th, to face off against Aledo.
