At the neutral ground of Fossil Ridge High School, the Saginaw Rough Riders faced off against the Richland Royals, stealing the crown from a team with twice as many wins as they had losses. The boys in red came out swinging from the start, showcasing an aggressive offense against a very strong opponent. It was a risky gambit, given the Royals' seasonal record, but it worked out fantastically. Cutting through the defense with precision, Saginaw continuously racked up the points and managed to gain the upperhand by ten points. At the final buzzer, the Rough Riders had managed to surpass Richland and steal the win, earning the title of Bi-District champions and confirming their advancement into the next round.
The Rough Riders move on to show down against another kind of royalty - Mansfield Summit, the defending State champions. Details as to the day, location, and time still to come!
