Rough Rider Stadium was the place to be on Friday evening as the boys in red took on their district-mate in a highly contested duel. An early goal set the tone for the evening, keeping the Rough Riders a point ahead of the visiting Rangers for the majority of the matchup. Strong defense aided in keeping Saginaw in top spot for all four quarters until the an aggressive push by Chisholm Trail tied up the game. With only a couple minutes left, the pressure was on to reclaim the lead, and the Rough Riders delivered with a swift and precise shot to the back net, ending the night with a 2-1 victory.
Saginaw is away on Tuesday, February 17th, to take on the Fossil Ridge Panthers.
