Completing the trifecta of home-game Halloween faceoffs, the Rough Riders secured a substantial victory over the South Hills Scorpions on Senior Night last Friday. From the very start, the Rough Riders were high gear and showcased unrelenting determination to the final buzzer. The boys in red mounted a powerful and decisive series of strikes at the opponent's line that only seemed to gain momentum as the night progressed, racking up a staggering 35 points by the end of the final quarter. On the opposite side of the ball, Saginaw dug their heels in with sheer grit and kept the Scorpions on the back foot for a majority of the game, allowing only one touchdown from the visiting team and "demonstrating exceptional teamwork and discipline" as stated by Coach Silas Robertson.
Friday, November 7th, the Rough Riders take on their next biggest challenge of the season as they duke it out against district-mate Chisholm Trail in the second annual Battle for the Silver Spurs.
