Channelling their inner 'Jaws' for this spooky Halloween meet, the Rough Riders were quick in the lanes this past Friday and found themselves coming out in a strong position in the middle of the pack by the end. The ladies brought home a 9th place finish with the gentlemen right behind them in 10th. Within these solid placements were made many personal bests. Among the list include Kenji Cortes with a new school record in the 200-yard Individual Medley and the 100-yard Backstroke, the latter of which stood unbroken for eight years and earning him a 4th place finish overall! Sophianne Cortes finished 1st in the 200-yard Freestyle, 50-yard Breaststroke, and 50-yard Backstroke. And Divya Chhetri set a personal record in the 50-yard Butterfly and a season best in the 100-yard Individual Medley.
The Rough Riders continue their pursuit for gold on Saturday, November 8th, at the Paschal Invitational.
