Saginaw faced off against Brewer in the last match before Spring Break. Sadly, it did not pan out the way the girls wanted, with a difficult struggle through nine innings that ended in a 2-18 loss. Despite the final score, the girls put up a good fight that thoroughly showed their passion for the sport. Rhyan Angles helped contribute to putting the Lady Rough Riders up on the scoreboard with a massive home run, and both Anlee Roberts and Hannah Brown filled the bases with solid hits of their own. Angles also worked alongside Elizabeth Galvan on the mound, striking out three batters between the two of them with lightning quick fastballs.
The Lady Rough Riders are on the road Tuesday, March 25, to take on the Fossil Ridge Panthers, eager to turn the tide and show their skills.
