Starting off with a few sudden lineup changes, the boys and girls of Rough Rider Tennis made a strong effort at the EMS Tournament on Friday and, according to Head Coach Margaret Phillips, "played very well in this tournament". Alex Hernandez and Melanie Nguyen fought a tough battle in the Mixed Doubles A pairings, losing an extremely close 1st round match but coming back with a win in the consolation matchup. The Boys A Doubles combo of Jason and Nathan Bui also performed well and won in their own consolation bout, marking the second duo to do so. Nice job out there, Rough Riders!
The team is on the road Friday, March 14, heading to the Arlington Tennis Center for the Arlington Lamar Varsity Tennis Tournament.
