Laura Williams

Laura Williams has nearly 20 years in education and teaches in the Special Education Department focusing with students in the history department.

Under her leadership, the Lady Rough Rider softball program has been to the playoffs twice; winning the District and Bi-District Championship in 2022. The Lady Rough Riders playoff appearance in 2021, was their first since 2017. 

Coach Williams began her teaching career in Kemp, Texas in 2005. In 2009, she became the Head Coach in Frankston, TX and took the Maiden softball team to the Bi-District Playoffs in 2014, 2015, and 2016. While at Frankston, she was on the TGCA All-State softball selection committee and had two of her own athletes voted to TGCA All-State and five players were TGCA Academic All-State. Five of her former athletes have gone on to play at the collegiate level.

Coach Williams and her husband Chris have a son named Chipper. They also have a dog named Rosco and three cats--Sugar, Tom, and Jerry.
