Jason Giles

Coach Jason Giles began teaching science in 2014 after a 21-year active duty career in the United States Air Force.  He retired as a master sergeant and has served in various locations around the world, including multiple deployments.  He chose education as his second career because he firmly believes the best way to continue serving the nation is by preparing its future leaders and citizens to make positive impacts on society. When colleagues at a previous school learned that he competes in triathlons, he was asked to help with their swimming team starting in 2018. He is now proud to lead the Saginaw Rough Rider Swimming Team starting with the 2022-23 school year!

Coach Giles has two Associate of Applied Science degrees from the Community College of the Air Force, a Bachelor of Science degree from Columbia Southern University, and a Master of Education degree from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Coach Giles is married to Ms. Tammy May, who is an EMS ISD elementary school teacher, and they have an adult daughter named Courtney who graduated from Angelo State University.  He enjoys long distance running and racewalking, triathlon, reading, video games, and barbecue cooking.
