Courtney Parker
Coach Parker is an assistant coach for the girls and boys gymnastics teams. Before Saginaw, she taught Texas and US History at Prairie Vista Middle School.
Coach Parker graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor’s in History with a focus in Secondary Education. In 2013 she graduated from Texas A&M with an M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction. At Texas A&M she met Andrew Parker, Class of 2009, through the Club Gymnastics team. They married in 2013 and have one daughter, Blair Kay, who is already a gym rat. Coach Parker and her husband grew up in the world of gymnastics as competitive athletes and coaches. Since 2011, Coach Parker is a nationally certified men’s gymnastics judge. She has been named Texas Men’s Judge of the Year twice, 2014 & 2018.
In 2017, Coach Parker was diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer. The Saginaw student body and staff were instrumental in her battle and in 2018 she was cancer-free.
