He has judged two Junior Olympic national meets, along with several college and international competitions. Coach Briley was honored by the Saginaw Chamber of Commerce as the 2014 Educator of the Year. He was voted “Coach of the Year” at the 2018 State gymnastics meet, and his 2018 and 2019 teams were back-to-back state champions. They followed that up with a second place finish in 2021 and third place in 2022.

Coach Briley grew up in San Angelo, Texas. He graduated from Angelo State in 1996 and spent nine years at Abilene Cooper before moving to Saginaw to start the program there.
